Michelle was born, raised, and educated in the metro Chicago area. As a practicing neonatal and obstetrical nurse, she spent eight years at Northwestern’s Prentice Women’s Hospital, followed by additional years as an obstetrical nurse in private practice, and most recently in the management of a pain-care practice.

As a third-generation, Polish–speaking Polish American, Michelle and her husband support a myriad of philanthropic events in the Chicagoland area. She is currently a board member of the Polish American Association, a member of the Warsaw Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International, a member of the International Women Association, and a past director on the Board of Directors of The Polish Museum of America. She is also active in the Kosciuszko Foundation in both Chicago and New York.

Michelle and her husband are the proud parents of two sons and one daughter.
