The holiday season is just around the corner and provides an opportunity for many entrepreneurs to engage with new customers and reinvigorate old relationships. Below are some tips to keep in mind when marketing this season to ensure you stay top of mind in the holiday hustle and bustle:

Be active on social media. It’s no surprise that many consumers use social to find and purchase gifts. Whether it’s posting all of your new holiday products on Instagram or offering special sales via your Facebook pages, make sure you are utilizing your social networks to spread the word about what your business is doing this year. Also, be sure to pre-plan social media posts so you are on top of your game when reaching new audiences and connecting with your network.

Create new materials. Whether it’s a flyer, email blast or sign, consider refreshing your usual designs to incorporate what you are doing for the holiday season that makes your stand out. Another great idea is creating a 2016 calendar with your logo on it that you give to customers or partners this year. A useful marketing printable to keep them thinking about you all year round!

Give a gift. If you have really great partners, be sure to send them some sort of thank you gift this holiday season. This can be anything from a gourmet gift basket to their office or some sort of useful item like high end writing materials. This is a great time to show them how much you appreciate and value the relationship.

Stay relevant. Everyone’s inbox floods with holiday messages and sales during this time of year. Take a moment to be thoughtful and personalized with your contact to customers in order to stand out from all of the clutter.

Give back! Tis the season to spread some cheer to philanthropic organizations that you or your business support. Maybe give a percentage of sales from a week to a local charity or help host an event where ticket sales will support the cause.  You’ll not only be able to reach new networks that also support this charity, but feel good in the process.
