What: Immerse yourself in culinary delight and artistic flair and join nearly 500 affluent professionals, entrepreneurs, media, and sports and entertainment personas for Compassion, Fashion & Cocktails, an evening honoring the arts while raising money for the charity Bethesda Lutheran Communities.
Focusing on a theme of pioneers in fashion, food, and film, Frontier will be transformed into a cutting edge fashion runway scene as guests take part in silent auctions and raffles. Gift bags will be provided for the first 100 guests.
Attendees will savor a specially created menu of hors d’oeuvres from Frontier’s Chef Brian Jupiter. For a landscape of lavish libations, the event will house a cocktail reception from 5:30-7:30PM hosted by the Bombay Sapphire World Bazaar- a program highlighting Italy, Morocco, and Thailand’s unique botanicals with a signature cocktail based on each country. Additionally, Bombay will host an interactive bar where guests can mix their own Bombay cocktails with instruction from Bombay a mixologist.
During this celebration of food, guests will enjoy a Runway Fashion Show by Designer AS by DF and ASTARS who will be showcasing their 2013 Fall Collection. Ten female models (mixture of professional and socialites) with two looks each will grace the catwalk with high fashion hairstyles created by the celebrity stylist Mercedes Urquiza-Parrilli of River North’s George the Salon (HARPO/The Oprah Winfrey Show/The Rosie Show & The PGA) paired with makeup by Hillary Fenton for Exclusive Artists using M.A.C cosmetics. Additionally, the show will feature jewelry by Sophia Forero and handbags by Annie Diamantidis of Annie Handbags. A montage of classic black and white films will play throughout the evening.
When: Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 5:30 – 10PM
Where: Frontier, 1072 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL 60642
